The Pasadena Rental Housing Board this month approved the annual general adjustment for the next rent increase cycle at 2.25%.
It applies to rent stabilized units under the Pasadena Charter for the period of Oct. 1, 2025 to Sept. 30, 2026. Landlords of rent stabilized units may raise rent up to 2.25% during this cycle. According to the city of Pasadena, a landlord may increase the rent only once in an 12-month period.
Owners can file a petition for a larger increase.
The formula for the adjustment is based on 75% of the annual Consumer Price index for the Los Angeles, Riverside, Orange County region measured over the 12 months ending in March of the current year.
