Photos: A few of our favorite images from the Grand Prix of Long Beach 2023
Kyle Kirkwood standing on his IndyCar, arms aloft as confetti falls from the sky. Race cars zipping by in a blur. Stadium Super Trucks soaring through the air and drifting cars causing their tires to smoke.
These are just some of our favorite photos from the 2023 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.
But there were plenty more, from kids hanging out on their father’s shoulders to fans watching the action from nearby high rises.
With the Grand Prix set to return for its 49th iteration this weekend, we thought we’d look back on some of the best images Southern California News Group staff and freelance photographers created during last year’s “200-mph beach party.”
