Heavy metal icon Metallica returned to Denver’s Empower Field at Mile High on Friday, June 27, in Denver, as part of its M72 World Tour.
The act also has a Sunday, June 29, concert planned for Empower — Colorado’s largest concert venue, and one that in the past has hosted shows by Taylor Swift, The Rolling Stones, U2 and others.
Hard-rock acts Limp Bizkit and Ice Nine Kills opened the June 27 concert, while Pantera and Suicidal Tendencies are scheduled to open the July 29 show.
