Detectives are searching for a gunman who burst into a Loop 7-Eleven Monday night and shot two men inside, according to Chicago police and a witness.

The attack unfolded at 9:45 p.m. at the 7-Eleven at Adams Street and Wabash Avenue.

“We saw a bunch of cop cars pulling up,” said Lou D., manager of Princess Nails at 25 E. Adams St.

Two men inside the business, 26 and 23, were shot after the gunman pointed a gun at the 26-year-old after a brief altercation, police said. The shooter ran away and was not in custody.

The 26-year-old and the 23-year-old were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in fair condition. The older man suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and the other man was grazed in his foot, police said.
