A “possible human bone” was found in a Westminster field Friday afternoon, police officials said.
Someone walking on an open space trail near 122nd Avenue and Park Centre Drive came across the bone at 2:30 p.m., the Westminster Police Department said on social media.
Investigators brought in a cadaver dog from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office to help with the search, but no additional remains have been found. Police are still determining the age of the bone.
The investigation is ongoing, agency officials said.
