Prince William and Kate Middleton release new photo of Prince George on 13th birthday
Prince George will be starting secondary school in September
Kensington Palace has released a new photo of Prince George to mark his 13th birthday.
Kensington Palace released the previously unseen image of the young royal as he became a teenager on Wednesday.
Sharing the snap to its social media pages, the palace – which is the official London residence of Kate Middleton and Prince William – said: ‘Happy 13th birthday, George!’ alongside a party popper emoji.
The picture was taken after last month’s Trooping the Colour by photographer Matt Porteous.
George is the eldest son of the Prince and Princess of Wales and is the second in line to the throne.

The future King will also be starting secondary school at Eton College in September, following in his father’s footsteps.
