RICHMOND — A person died Monday afternoon in an incident that police said they are calling a homicide.
Few details were available in a statement released by Richmond police. They said that officers responded to the 3400 block of Klose Way about 1:45 p.m. on Monday and found a person with injuries that they determined not to be accidental.
Police did not describe the injuries or say where on the person they were. The person died at the scene despite rescue efforts from officers, police said.
Authorities did not identify him early Tuesday, pending notification of relatives.
The homicide investigation is the sixth on this year by Richmond police. Investigators encouraged anyone from the public who may have information to contact the department at 510-233-1214.
