Police are looking for the person responsible for shooting a 42-year-old rideshare driver as he dropped off passengers in the North Lawndale neighborhood on Monday night.
The driver was inside his vehicle dropping off passengers at about 10:35 p.m. in the 1300 block of South Central Park Avenue when he heard gunshots and felt pain, Chicago police said.
He suffered a gunshot wound to his left leg and took himself to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, police said.
The driver’s side door of the man’s vehicle was also damaged. No other injuries were reported.
Area 4 detectives are investigating.
