RISHI Sunak last night doubled down on his claim Britain is heading towards disaster with a hung Parliament.
The PM said local election results showed Sir Keir Starmer will not win a majority and will have to do deals with the SNP, Lib Dems and Greens.

The claim was dismissed by some polling experts, but Mr Sunak warned: “Keir Starmer propped up in Downing Street by the SNP, Liberal Democrats and the Greens would be a disaster for Britain.
“The country doesn’t need more political horse-trading, but action.”
The projection used analysis of local election results to estimate the vote share at a General Election.
However, it assumed everyone would vote the same way as they did in the local polls.
The Lib Dems plan to table a motion of no confidence in the Government when Parliament return today to pressure the PM into a June election.
It is unlikely to pass, given the Tories retain a majority.
Mr Sunak also said yesterday: “The result of the next General Election isn’t a foregone conclusion. It’s closer than many people are saying.
“That’s why I’m determined to fight hard for what I believe and for the future country that I want to build.”
The PM also rejected calls from Tory rebels demanding a shift in his political strategy.
The party lost 472 council seats, as well as all but one mayoral contests.
But there seems to be no prospect of a move against Mr Sunak by rebels in the coming days or weeks.
Mr Sunak said yesterday his party was “united” on its values and that he was determined to demonstrate to voters “we are making progress on the areas that matter to them”.
