Four people were shot, one fatally, in the River North neighborhood early Sunday, according to Chicago police.
The victims were getting into a green Lamborghini around 2:35 a.m. in the 400 block of North La Salle Drive when four gunmen walked up and opened fire, according to police and scanner audio.
The four shooting victims were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. A 34-year-old man was shot several times and pronounced dead. The other three are all in critical condition: a 36-year-old man shot in the chest, a 43-year-old man shot in the back and a 35-year-old man shot multiple times, according to police.
No one is in custody, police said.
Cook County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest in the shooting. Anonymous tips can be submitted by phone at 1-800-535-STOP (7867) or online at www.CPDTIP.com.
“This was a brazen and violent act that took one life and left three others fighting for their lives,” Paul Rutherford, executive director of Cook County Crime Stoppers, said in a statement. “Someone knows who is responsible. Your information, no matter how small it may seem, could be the key to bringing justice to the victims and their families.”
