A runaway car crashed through the front of a post office in Bailey on Friday evening, forcing retail operations to be temporarily suspended.
When driving toward the post office at 24 River Drive, a customer lost control of the breaks and crashed through the front of the building, a U.S. Postal Service spokesperson confirmed Saturday.
The post office was closed at the time of the crash and no one was injured, according to a Saturday news release from USPS.

PO Box mail and packages are available for pick up at the rear entrance of the building during normal business hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, the release stated.
Retail operations are available nearby at Pine and Conifer locations.
The Pine Post Office — located at 187 Mount Evans Blvd — is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday.
The Conifer Post Office — located at 9546 South Dallman Drive — is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Crews are on scene at the Bailey post office working to make the building safe and accessible, Saturday’s release stated.
