San Jose police seize illegal drugs, arrest three in separate cases
SAN JOSE – Three people were arrested and more than 130 pounds of illegal drugs were seized in separate cases last week in San Jose, according to authorities.
An investigation into a “large-scale narcotics trafficking operation” came to a head on June 25, when officers served search warrants at two homes in San Jose and Milpitas, San Jose police spokesperson Stacie Shih said in a news release Tuesday.
Officers found evidence of drug manufacturing and sales, including roughly 72 pounds of cocaine, 2½ pounds of crack cocaine, a pound of MDMA, an ounce of fentanyl and $85,000 in cash, according to Shih. The drugs had a street value of about $4 million.
A 32-year-old San Jose man was arrested and booked into Santa Clara County jail on charges related to the possession, sale and transportation of illegal drugs, Shih said.

In the other case, officers found an occupied stolen vehicle in a parking lot in the 6100 block of San Ignacio Road on June 26. The occupants – a 44-year-old San Jose man and a 38-year-old San Jose woman – were on probation, according to Shih.
Inside the vehicle, officers found a stolen disabled person parking placard, stolen documents, stolen credit cards and illegal drugs, Shih said in a second news release Tuesday.
Officers also searched a hotel room linked to the pair and seized 62 pounds of methamphetamine, 2 pounds of heroin, an unregistered handgun, $28,000 in cash, burglary tools, and evidence of illegal drug sales and identity theft, according to Shih.
Both suspects were arrested and booked into county jail on charges including possession and sale of illegal drugs, identity theft and firearm possession, Shih said.
