Another one of the three people injured in a shooting outside a Green Valley Ranch house party was shot by an officer, Denver Police Department officials said Friday.
Denver police were called to a large fight in the 5100 block of North Biscay Court in the early hours of Nov. 2.
Officers heard gunshots when they arrived and saw people running, including one armed suspect who refused to drop his gun and was shot by police.
The exact sequence of events, including when the two other people were shot, is still unclear, Major Crimes Cmdr. Matt Clark said in an update Friday afternoon.
Body-worn camera footage of the shooting was taken from a distance and is not conclusive, and the two other people shot during the encounter have not told investigators when they were injured, Clark said.
The department’s crime lab tested a bullet removed from one of the two people who were shot and confirmed the round came from the involved officer’s gun, Clark said.
The shooting is still under investigation, and additional forensic tests are pending, according to Clark. One juvenile suspect was arrested and charged with attempted assault in the shooting.
