The driver of a semitruck sustained minor injuries after crashing into a Union Pacific train in east Aurora on Wednesday afternoon.
Aurora Fire Rescue crews responded to the crash at 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Colorado 36 and North Peterson Road between Watkins and Bennett, the agency said.

An 18-wheeler was heading northbound on North Peterson Road when it hit the eastbound train, flipped on its side and detached from the trailer.
The truck driver was taken to the hospital by a Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue crew, Aurora officials said. The train did not derail, but the track was temporarily closed to check for damage.
Investigators are looking into what caused the crash, Aurora officials said.
