SF Giants to promote top prospect Eldridge to Triple-A, source confirms

The Giants are promoting first baseman Bryce Eldridge, the top prospect in their organization, from Double-A Richmond to Triple-A Sacramento, a source confirmed to this news organization.

Eldridge, 20, is currently hitting .280/.350/.512 with seven home runs and 20 RBIs over 34 games for the Richmond Flying Squirrels. He missed the first several weeks of the season due to a left wrist injury but has an .895 OPS in May.

Eldridge’s promotion to Sacramento comes as the Giants are in the midst of a collective cold spell offensively, scoring only 30 runs over their last 15 games.

Drafted with the 16th overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft, Eldridge played eight games with Sacramento last season once Richmond’s season ended. Over those eight games, Eldridge went 8-for-31 with a .601 OPS.
