FacebookThe sick prankster’s outfit also included a black backpack with ‘BOOM TNT’ written across it[/caption]
He also posted a Facebook picture of a black bag with “boom” and “TNT” written on it with the caption: “Bet I get kicked out of the Halloween party.”
His outraged friends slammed the stunt.
But Wootton then wrote: “Only went and won the best costume.”
Last week at Harrogate magistrates’ court, he pleaded guilty to sending an offensive message online.
JPs referred his case to York crown court after deciding their sentencing powers were insufficient.
Wootton, who has since changed his name and moved to London, could be jailed for up to two years on October 3.
Andrea Hill, 40, who gave evidence against him, said: “He’s a scumbag who deserves everything coming to him.
“I hope his guilty plea gives the families of the arena bombing victims some comfort that justice will be done.”
Suicide bomber Salman Abedi killed 22 people at an Ariana Grande concert in 2017.
