CEDAR CITY — Flying from Cedar City Regional Airport will be a bit more convenient thanks to a new flight schedule.

According to a press release from Cedar City Airport Manager Nick Holt, SkyWest Airlines — operating as Delta Connection — will introduce an early morning flight to Salt Lake City beginning Dec. 4 at 6 a.m.

“We’re always looking for ways to improve our air service and are excited about the new schedule for Cedar City,” Greg Atkin, SkyWest Airlines managing director of market development, said in the release.

The new flight schedule is specifically designed to provide both business and leisure travelers with access to daily flights to nearly 100 nonstop destinations from Salt Lake City. All Delta Connection flights from Cedar City to Salt Lake City will be aboard the Bombardier-manufactured Canadair Regional Jet 200.

The new flight schedule will be as follows:

• Depart Cedar City at 6 a.m., arriving in Salt Lake City at 7:08 a.m.

• Depart Salt Lake City at 1:40 p.m., arriving in Cedar City at 2:46 p.m.

• Depart Cedar City at 3:11 p.m., arriving in Salt Lake City at 4:22 p.m.

• Depart Salt Lake City at 8:30 p.m., arriving in Cedar City at 9:43 p.m.
