Abhijit Patel faces one count of first-degree murder and will appear in Cook County court Monday for a detention hearing, according to Schaumburg police.
Anupam Patel, 67, was pronounced dead at 11:06 a.m. at a home in the 1100 block of South Salem Drive, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
