Squatters leave Gordon Ramsay’s posh £13million London pub as others vows to stay until kicked out

SQUATTERS leave Gordon Ramsay’s posh £13million pub in ones and twos yesterday — but some vowed to stay until kicked out.

A friend of one of them said they will wait until the bailiffs come, adding: “They’re professional enough. They’ve been doing it for years.”

Three men and a woman came through the gate, shut with a bike lock, in pairs in the morning and refused to say anything when questioned by reporters.

One man sniped “I’m eating a liquorice” as he was questioned about what he had been up to.

Later, two squatters were seen going back into the York & Albany in Camden, North London, including one who had left earlier, before one of their friends came out again.

The friend, who used to squat years ago but no longer does, told The Sun they are just doing “what they’ve got to do”, insisted they have kept the venue “pristine” and claimed they are “good as gold”.

He said they were mainly young people in there who are all homeless.

But bailiffs had still not turned up by mid-afternoon, and people were still living inside.

One put two fingers up to reporters through the window.
