Steeped in tradition
The Sunnyvale Heritage Park Museum’s volunteer tea team is getting ready to host its traditional Winter Teas on Dec. 6-7 and 13-14, 2-4 p.m. The event is one of the museum’s biggest fundraisers.
The teas take place at the museum, 570 E. Remington Drive. Guests will be treated to table settings featuring vintage china and silver as well as delicate doilies. The fare includes finger sandwiches and savories, scones with all the trimmings, and sweet treats along with bottomless cups of tea.
Attendees can check out the exhibits and browse the museum store before the teas start. On Sundays, a volunteer plays the square grand piano in the museum parlor, adding to the festive atmosphere. Period costumes are encouraged.
