Three wounded in Skid Row shooting in downtown Los Angeles

Three people were wounded in a shooting on Skid Row on Thursday in downtown Los Angeles, and the shooter was still on the run.

Officers responded at 7:10 p.m. Thursday to Sixth and San Julian streets regarding a shooting, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. When they arrived, the officers were told the suspect walked to the corner and announced to the victims, “This is where I do business” before firing several shots in their direction, an LAPD officer told City News Service.

The victims — a 33-year-old woman, a 62-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man — were taken to a hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel, police said. They were said to have stable vital signs.

The suspect fled the scene after the shooting. Police did not have a description.
