Tickets for a spring 2026 run of “Hamilton” will go on sale Wednesday, Broadway in Chicago announced today.
And if the Tony-award winning musical’s previous, three-year Chicago run is any indication of demand, a local ticket will be a popular cultural get for 2026.
“Hamilton” will run at the CIBC Theatre Downtown from March 4 through April 26, 2026. Tickets will range from $40 to $159, with premier seating available for $183. There will also be a lottery for 40 seats for all performances for $10 each, with details on the ticket lottery forthcoming.
Previously, interested audiences could access the “Hamilton” ticket lottery through a mobile phone app.
Chicago was one of the first stops when the award-winning “Hamilton” went on tour, and the show remained on stage here for three years — the longest run in any city outside of New York. More than 2.6 million people saw the show at the CIBC Theatre in its first run of 1,341 performances — a higher audience total than the original show’s run on Broadway.
The musical, with book and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, and based on Ron Chernow’s acclaimed biography, blends a score of hip hop, jazz, and R&B with the story of founding father Alexander Hamilton’s life. The original Broadway play was nominated for a record breaking 16 Tony Awards, and won 11. The show has also won a Grammy Award and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
Casting for the Chicago production has not yet been announced.
