Two people are in custody after a pursuit on I-55 on Friday afternoon involving a tow truck being sought in a Chicago homicide investigation, Illinois State Police said.
State police tried to pull the tow truck over near East 147th Street and South Halsted Street, but the vehicle fled, later crashing on southbouund Interstate 55 south of Arsenal Road in Channahon, state police said. Two people were taken into custody.
The driver, who has not been identified, is facing felony aggravated fleeing and eluding and received multiple citations in connection with the chase, state police said.
