President Donald Trump announced Monday on Truth Social that he will pay $1 million to people whose reports of voter fraud lead to an arrest and conviction.

He wrote: “Anybody reporting Voter Fraud in the past Elections, or the upcoming 2026 Midterm Election, will be paid $1,000,000 upon the arrest and conviction of those that created the Fraud! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP.”

He repeated the offer before boarding Air Force One for a Mississippi rally, and told reporters: “I’m also going to be issuing a $1 million bonus or reward, or whatever you want to call it, for anybody that reports voter fraud, leading to the arrest and conviction of somebody.”

[NOTE: ABC News reported: “Trump has repeatedly made unfounded claims that there was widespread voter fraud in past elections. It is not clear where the money for this reward that the president is offering would come from. The White House would not provide any additional details about Trump’s announcement.”]

Trump supporter Eric Daugherty celebrated the President’s idea on X: “Every single leftist ballot harvester and crooked operative now has to look over their shoulder.”

“Democrats will complain about this,” he added.

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), the Senate Democratic leader, responded with a Washington Post article about Trump pressuring Georgia’s secretary of state “to recalculate the vote in his favor.”

Schumer wrote: “Found it @RealDonaldTrump – where’s my $1 million? You can wire it straight to the 10,000 election workers who are volunteering their time to protect against your efforts to steal the midterms.”

Democracy Docket, a left-leaning voting-rights outlet, called Trump’s reward idea “his latest attempt to present rare cases of illegal voting as a widespread problem that threatens U.S. elections.”

Trump’s announcement came a day after Attorney General Todd Blanche defended DOJ lawsuits over the California and Alaska elections on the Sunday morning political talk shows.
