Welcome to the Bay Area News Group (Mercury News & East Bay Times) boys Athlete of the Week poll.
For the entire academic year, we will provide a list of candidates who stood out over the previous week and allow you, the reader, to vote for the winner.
This week, we consider performances from April 15-20.
Polls close at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Vote as many times as you’d like until then without using bots or any other artificial methods of voting.
Votes by email and after 5 p.m. Wednesday are not counted.

Winners are announced each Friday online and in the print edition of the Mercury News and East Bay Times sports sections.
Candidates for future Athlete of the Week polls can be nominated at highschools@bayareanewsgroup.com.
We accept nominations until 11 a.m. each Monday.
We also review stats submitted to MaxPreps by coaches/team statisticians.
On to the nominees:
Tim Fenstermacher, Northgate lacrosse: The senior had eight goals and five assists across two wins against College Park and Alhambra. Fenstermacher leads the Broncos in goals with 33 this season.
Jett Guevara, Heritage baseball: The sophomore went 1 for 3 and knocked in the go-ahead runs in the Patriots’ 4-3 win over Pittsburg. Heritage is currently in control of first place in the Bay Valley Athletic League with a record of 15-3-1, 4-0.
Nathaniel Guillory, Los Altos track and field: Guillory won the 100 and 200 meter races at the Central Coast Section Top 8 meet. He won the 100 with a time of 10.64 and crossed the finish line in the 200 at 21.30.
Phoenix Hin, Mission San Jose track and field: Hin won the 100-meter dash at the It’s Always Sunny in Union City meet with a time of 11.07.
Samuel Johnston, College Park baseball: The junior had two hits, a double and two RBIs as College Park handed Acalanes its first loss of the season in a 5-1 win. College Park is 11-6, 3-1.
Dylan Kall, Burlingame baseball: Kall hit the walk-off single in Burlingame’s 5-4 win over Palo Alto. The senior is leading Burlingame (12-5) in batting average at .418.
Jackson Koberlein, Bellarmine lacrosse: The senior scored three goals in Bellarmine’s 10-2 win over Live Oak. The Bells are 7-7 this season.
Kavan Kumar, Menlo tennis: Kumar went 4-0 in his matches last week, helping Menlo capture its 35th league championship.
Brayden Martinez, Gilroy baseball: Martinez struck out 10 batters and walked just two on 95 pitches in Gilroy’s 1-0 win over Prospect. Martinez has a 2.56 ERA over five games for the Mustangs, who are 4-15.
Hank Tripaldi, De La Salle baseball: Tripaldi had two hits, five RBIs and a home run in the Spartans 12-2 win over San Ramon Valley. De La Salle is 12-4, 6-2.
Coco Vonderhaar, Palo Alto baseball: The junior was 3 for 5 with four RBIs and a home run in the Vikings’ 17-1 win over Gunn. Vonderhaar leads Palo Alto (10-11) in runs scored with 18.
