One man was shot to death and another wounded Saturday in West Garfield Park, according to Chicago police.
The men, ages 21 and 29, were on a sidewalk about 2 p.m. in the 100 block of South Pulaski Road when someone approached them and fired shots, police said in a statement.
The younger man suffered a gunshot wound to the groin and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. His name has not been released. His death was ruled a homicide, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
The other man was shot in both arms and was taken in fair condition to the same hospital, police said.
No arrests were reported.
