The Sky are rounding out their depth.
The team announced they’re bringing back shooting guard Rachel Banham.
“[Banham] had one of the all-time great shooting seasons for the Sky last year,” general manager Jeff Pagliocca said in a statement. “We’re ready to get back to work with a competitive, high-character individual.”
Last season Banham shot 35.7% from the 3-point line and averaged a career-high 9 points per game. She also shouldered more playmaking duties when veteran point guard Courtney Vandersloot suffered an ACL-tear.
That shouldn’t be necessary going forward now that the Sky have added Skylar Diggins and Jacy Sheldon.
Banham’s contract is a one-year deal worth $425,000, per Her Hoop Stats.
