Woman, 41, charged with killing disabled man who died after mobility scooter robbed in Tesco car park

A WOMAN has been charged with the manslaughter of a disabled man who died after being robbed of his mobility scooter in a Tesco car park.

Kimberley Ann Hawkins, 41, of no fixed address, is accused of killing Neil Shadwick, 63, on January 22 last year in Gloucestershire.

Mr Shadwick was found unresponsive by a staff member at the store on Stratford Road, Stroud, at around 6am.

He had suffered a stroke shortly before he died at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

The victim, who had Parkinson’s Disease, used the mobility scooter to get around.

The scooter was found abandoned nearby later that same day.

Gloucestershire Police said Hawkins was due to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on May 15.
