A 61-year-old woman was injured when a car hit her on the outbound Eisenhower Expressway late Sunday on the West Side, according to Illinois State Police.
The woman had been walking on the expressway about 11 p.m. in the westbound lanes of the near Kostner Avenue when a vehicle hit her, state police said.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital “with injuries,” state police said.
Lanes were closed until 4:30 p.m.
