Charges were pending for a man arrested after a woman was fatally shot during a domestic disturbance early Monday in the East Side neighborhood.
Around 2:40 a.m., officers responded to the disturbance in the 9600 block of South Avenue N and found the woman, 27, with multiple gunshot wounds to the body, Chicago police said.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
A man was taken into custody and a weapon was recovered at the scene, officials said.
Charges were pending.
