A woman was injured in a residential fire early Wednesday in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.
Chicago Fire Department officials responded to the 8000 block of South Ellis Avenue around 2:45 a.m. for the fire, a CFD spokesperson said.
One person was hospitalized in fair condition, officials said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
