This is the disturbing moment a woman threw a wedding dress into a filthy puddle of water.

Footage from a CCTV camera on a Manchester road shows her wearing the gown before taking it off and flicking it into the dirt.

She then carried on walking along the pavement before yet again dipping it into another puddle.

The dress was among £4,000 worth of items stolen from a local bridal business, including veils, cameras, tripods and cash.

Joel Potter, 28 and Caitlin Wood, 30 – who run wedding photography company Dynamic Glow – said their van was broken into while they stopped for a cup of tea in Ancoats, Manchester.

The theft is supposed to have happened on March 19 in Manchester

They returned to discover their vehicle broken into and the items missing.

They then found the dirty wedding dress – which was going to be used for a shoot – in nearby Butler Street.

Joel said: ‘They are sentimental items. Especially to the suppliers as they are all handmade items.

‘The wedding attire is currently at the dry cleaners but they are charging a ridiculous amount.

‘We somehow managed to rescue the veil but there are some stains.

‘The dresses were booked for other wedding shoots and this break-in potentially stops a lot more business for us.

‘When I saw the CCTV, with the woman dragging the dress through puddles, I was absolutely raging. I was so angry.’
