The 2026 NASCAR Cup Series is already looking bright for Connor Zilisch. Trackhouse Racing shared its partnership with Red Bull, bringing the energy drink giant back into the NASCAR spotlight in a big way.

Red Bull will back 25 races across two cars next season, split between Zilisch and Shane van Gisbergen. It’s a major step for both the team and the brand, especially since Red Bull hasn’t had this big a presence in the Cup Series since 2011.
Zilisch, only 19 and fresh off a huge 2025 ARCA season, will take over the No. 88 Chevrolet. Van Gisbergen moves to the No. 97, a number that means a lot to him personally. Both drivers will debut sharp new Red Bull paint schemes as the season kicks off.

Red Bull Expands Its NASCAR Presence for 2026
Red Bull will appear as the main sponsor on both the No. 88 and No. 97 entries for a combined 25 races. For Zilisch, this is a major moment. He dominated the Xfinity Series in 2025 with 10 wins, and now he’ll roll into the Daytona 500 with Red Bull across the hood.
Shane van Gisbergen earned Rookie of the Year honors and picked up five Cup wins in 2025. His move to the No. 97 is special. “It means a lot to have the number No. 97 on my Cup car,” he said. “It’s a number that means so much to my family and me, so to see it on my car for the first time was surreal.”
New Paint Schemes Unveiled for the No. 88 and No. 97
Trackhouse didn’t hold back on the looks either. The team rolled out new Red Bull paint schemes for both cars, and fans immediately noticed. Zilisch’s No. 88 comes in deep matte blue with bright light-blue streaks and a big bull graphic that stretches across the hood.
He loved it, saying, “It’s so cool to be driving No. 88 in the Cup Series. The number is historic, and so many great drivers have driven it. I certainly have big shoes to fill, but I can’t wait to get the season started. I love the blue streaks across the side of the car. The dark matte blue allows the light blue streaks to pop.”
Van Gisbergen’s No. 97 brings in red flashes down each side and subtle nods to his New Zealand heritage. “I love the red flash designs on both sides of the car. It’s going to look epic on the track.”
What the Partnership Means for Trackhouse and NASCAR
Red Bull’s motorsport footprint is huge, from Formula 1 to MotoGP and rally. The brand also ran a NASCAR team from 2007 to 2011, supporting drivers like Brian Vickers and Kasey Kahne.
With 2026 coming up fast, Trackhouse now has a powerful combo: a young talent in Zilisch, a proven race winner in van Gisbergen, and a major global sponsor backing both cars. While Connor Zilisch will debut his Red Bull machine at the Daytona 500 on February 15, 2026, Shane van Gisbergen’s first race with the Red Bull livery will be the following weekend at EchoPark Speedway (Atlanta).
