Detroit Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson is starring in Hanes’ “Never Uncomfortable” campaign, which plays on those moments of embarrassment that pretty much everyone has experienced.
In the “Never Uncomfortable” campaign, which has ad spots on Amazon Prime Thursday Night Football, Hutchinson is seen sharing uncomfortable and super relatable situations but staying comfy and relaxed in his Hanes clothing.
The campaign’s message is that “Hanes never feels uncomfortable” and that no matter what uncomfortable thing life may throw at you, Hanes will always be welcoming. That message of comfort has been part of Hanes for more than a century. The brand got its start 125 years ago, and they’ve always focused on comfort in both the physical and emotional aspects of the feeling.

Speaking with Heavy Sports’ Anne Erickson, Hutchinson says he had a blast teaming up with Hanes for the campaign.
“For me, it was really exciting to partner with such a great brand that I’ve seen ads for my whole life, and to now be a part of their latest campaign was so fun,” the NFL star said. “For me, being comfortable extends from what Hanes I’m wearing, to how I feel every day. Being comfortable on the field is key for me.”
He enjoyed shooting the spots for Hanes, too, explaining, “Recording the commercial was a ton of fun. It’s not often that I get to be creative and really just go for it on set. I let loose on set and showed off some of my moves. You might just see some on the field after a sack or some more from behind the scenes on The House of Hutch.”

The Detroit Lions are off to a fantastic start to the 2025-26 NFL season. So, what’s the overall vibe with the team right now?
“This team is as strong as ever,” he told us. “We’ve really stayed focused on the task at hand and been able to push through for some really great plays and wins. I’m excited to see where the rest of the season takes us. Everyone is feeling good but we know each week is a new week, and we’re getting ready for our next game.”
When asked who Hutchinson, a former Michigan wolverine football player, especially enjoys going up against in the NFL, he gave an answer that totally makes sense.
“Divisional rivals are always an exciting game,” he said, “There’s a lot that rides on those games, so for me, I always make sure I’m prepared and ready to face each one. I always enjoy seeing my Michigan teammates on the NFL stage.”
Thanks to Hutchinson for taking the time to visit with us and talk about the state of the Detroit Lions and his Hanes campaign. The Lions are already on track to have another fantastic season and hopefully make it to the postseason again. This time around, it will be even sweeter for Hutchinson, because he’s back on the field and ready to take on the world.
