ANDY MURRAY was challenged to a round of golf by one of his former rivals after the Brit received “constructive criticism” from fans.
Tennis legend Murray, 37, was one of a host of celebrity names that competed in the Wentworth celebrity Pro-Am on Wednesday.

The Scot, who retired from tennis at the Paris Olympic Games last month, played alongside Scottish golfer Bob MacIntyre in the curtain-raiser for the BMW PGA Championship.
Murray, who was seen nailing a putt at the pro-am in Surrey, took to social media after his performance as he responded to those pointing out the flaws in his game.
Speaking on X, he said: “Huge thanks to all the amateur golfers on social media for their constructive criticism of my golf swing.
“Much appreciated .”
This post sparked a reply from former US tennis player Mardy Fish – who reached three Grand Slam quarter-finals and a career-high ranking of world No7.
He replied: “Hey Andy, Mardy Fish here…
“I’ll play you for all the prize money I lost when you beat me on the tennis court. Deal?”
Murray and Fish played nine times before the latter retired back in 2015.

British icon Murray won five of those meetings – including their last one at the Cincinnati Masters nine years ago.
Fish’s career earnings came to around £5.5million, compared to Murray’s £49m.
However, Fish would likely have the upper hand on the golf course as his handicap is around 3, while Murray played off 7 at Wentworth.
Fish has won celebrity tournaments including the American Century Championship and Diamond Resorts Invitational.
In 2022, he also received an exemption to play in the 3M Open – a PGA Tour event in his home state of Minnesota.
