Arizona Golf Event Aims to Ensure No Veteran Is Left Behind

Golf for many is about leisure–a chance to relax, hit a few balls, enjoy the scenery. But for one day in December, it becomes much more: a way to give back. That’s the idea behind the No Vet Left Behind Golf Tournament.

Hosted by U.S.VETS Phoenix, the event invites golfers, supporters, and community members to swing their clubs with purpose–to support veterans who are homeless or at risk. The 2025 edition takes place Friday, December 12 at Falcon Dunes Golf Course, and every drive, chip, and putt will help fund programs designed to provide veterans with housing, mental health support, career development, and more.

U.S.VETS Phoenix isn’t just hosting a one-off fundraiser. Since opening in 2001, the Phoenix branch has served more than 10,000 veterans.  With more than 300 veterans currently experiencing homelessness that U.S.VETS Phoenix supports each day, events like No Vet Left Behind are critical to sustaining and expanding those efforts.

What You Can Expect: Golf, Community, and Support

Falcon Dunes Golf Course, located in Waddell, AZ near Luke Air Force Base, provides the backdrop for this year’s tournament. The day is about far more than golf: expect a full experience with on-course beverages, games, prize drawings, and a hosted awards luncheon for participants.

The tournament attracts local partners, sponsors, veterans, supporters, and non-veteran golfers alike. It’s a chance for people from different walks of life to come together around a shared purpose. All proceeds–from registration, sponsorships, and on-course fundraising–go directly to support U.S.VETS Phoenix services.

How to Get Involved

The problem U.S.VETS fights isn’t small. Veterans face unique challenges–from housing instability to mental health struggles and difficulties transitioning back into civilian life. Organizations like U.S.VETS Phoenix offer crucial services that help fill gaps many communities fail to address.

Registration for the tournament is open now via the U.S.VETS website, and spots are filling up. Players, sponsors, and donors all play a role in making this event successful.

Non-golfers can still help by making a direct donation, purchasing a sponsorship, or spreading the word. Local businesses, community groups, or individuals can support through financial contributions, volunteering, or providing in-kind donations such as raffle prizes. These contributions help expand the reach of U.S.VETS programs.

Sponsorship That Makes a Measurable Impact

One of the defining strengths of the No Vet Left Behind Golf Tournament is how clearly sponsorship translates into real support for veterans.

The response so far shows strong community commitment. $53.4k has already been raised toward the $60k goal, and each level of sponsorship directly funds specific services through U.S.VETS Phoenix.

  • 5-Star Presenting Sponsor – $50,000 underwrites housing for 20 veterans and includes six teams, top-tier branding, and the opportunity to address the audience during the awards luncheon.

  • 4-Star Platinum – $25,000 funds health and wellness services for 15 veterans, plus five teams and premium recognition in event and digital materials.

  • 3-Star Gold – $15,000 supports employment programs for 10 veterans with four foursomes and full promotional visibility.

  • Silver Star – $10,000 provides clothing and supplies for 200 veterans, along with three teams and digital branding.

  • Bronze Star – $5,000 underwrites counseling for five Post-9/11 veterans and includes two foursomes and recognition during the program.

  • Copper Star – $2,500 funds three months of meals for a veteran, plus one foursome and advertising in the digital tribute journal.

Other engagement levels make it easy for individuals and small businesses to join the cause:

  • Friend of U.S.VETS Foursome – $1,000 funds clothing for 10 veterans

  • U.S.VETS Supporter Twosome – $500 funds meals for two months

  • Single Golfer – $250 supports one month of meals

  • Tee Signs – $250 allow companies to display their logo in support
