Arsenal and Manchester United have both been urged to make a move for ‘one of the best No9’s in world football’ to bolster their attacking firepower.
The Gunners have made no bones about their desire to sign a striker this summer, but progress has stalled as they weigh up potential deals for Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko.
Arsenal had an initial proposal worth €55 million (£46.8m) plus a further €10m (£8.5m) in add-ons turned away for Gyokeres, while they are still yet to make an official offer for Sesko.
United, meanwhile, have already signed Matheus Cunha and appear to be slowly closing in on the signing of Bryan Mbeumo as they look to bolster Ruben Amorim’s attacking options.
Recent reports, however, suggested the Red Devils are still on the lookout for a natural striker, especially if Rasmus Hojlund leaves the club in the summer.

And Gary Lineker believes that both clubs – as well as other Premier League outfits – should be weighing up a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Serhou Guirassy to solve their goalscoring woes.
The 29-year-old scored 21 goals in 30 games in his maiden Bundesliga campaign for Dortmund, while adding a further 13 in just 14 Champions League games.

Guirassy has continued his goalscoring exploits at the Club World Cup, with his brace against Monterry guiding Dortmund into the tournament’s quarter-finals.
‘We’re still waiting to see what Arsenal do, and there are a few other Premier League sides looking for a No9 – is he worth taking a punt on?’ Linker said on The Rest is Football.
‘He’s strong, he’s quick – his finishing was really good all season and he was prolific in the Champions League as well.’

The Guinea International only signed for Dortmund last summer and appears keen to stay put, but a reported £60m release clause in his contract may have several clubs interested.
And Micah Richards agreed that a move for Guirassy would make sense for several English clubs.
‘I think he’s a top player. When you mention a No9, I think he’s one of the best in world football,’ said Richards.
‘Sometimes, when you watch football, you see players who are easy on the eye. I don’t think he’s easy on the eye – sometimes the ball will come to him and he might miscontrol it – but he’s got good composure when he gets it right.
‘At 29, I don’t think it’s too old, I just think that is the modern game. Everyone wants resale value, but in terms of a player who could come in and do it right now, he’s physical and could definitely do a job in the Premier League.’
Alan Shearer, meanwhile, speculated that Guirassy’s age and fee may put some clubs off but was stunned to not see him linked with a move away.
‘If you compare him to Sesko or Gyokeres, then I think he will cost a lot of money,’ the former Newcastle United and England striker said.
‘He’s 29 years of age so I think it would depend what you could get him for. But he’ not been linked with anyone, maybe because he only signed for Dortmund last summer.’
