Gabriel Jesus is determined to stay at Arsenal this summer despite the club being ready to listen to offers for him

The Brazil international joined the Gunners from Manchester City in July 2022 but his second season in north London has yielded a return of just eight goals in 33 appearances having also struggled with knee and hamstring injuries.

Recent reports have suggested he faces an uncertain future at the Emirates with Arsenal open to offers for the 27-year-old at the end of the season.

Kai Havertz has emerged as Mikel Arteta’s preferred option up front – also scoring eight times – with Arsenal also in the marker for a new centre forward this summer.

Jesus however does not want to leave the club and is focused on forcing his way back into the manager’s first-team plans.

Then 27-year-old is settled in the north London area, according to The Sun, and while he acknowledges his goal return has not been good enough, he believes a full pre-season under his belt this summer will lead to a return to form.

Jesus is also expected to be selected for Brazil for their Copa America campaign, which gets underway on 20 June.

Arsenal have been credited with interest in a number of strikers heading into the summer including Ivan Toney and Victor Osimhen, along with Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres.

Asked about his side’s desire to bring in more firepower last month, Jesus said: ‘They already know if they want to so maybe this question is not for me.
