The Atlanta Braves are off to a solid start to the 2026 season, but could still use reinforcements in the outfield in the wake of Jurickson Profar’s suspension. Could a meaningful trade for an outfielder be on the horizon for Atlanta?
Mark Powell of FanSided.com recently put together a strong trade package for Los Angeles Angels‘ outfielder Jo Adell, and it’s one that the Braves should consider. Jo Adell recently had a historic game against the Mariners, robbing three home runs in one game, highlighting how he’s become a premier defensive outfielder over recent seasons.
Adell, one of the top prospects in all of baseball, has also made waves with his bat in recent seasons. In 2025, he hit 37 home runs with 98 RBI and a 111 OPS+ over 152 games. During the offseason, there were reports that the Angels were open to trading Jo Adell and Taylor Ward. Ward ended up getting moved, but Adell remains in an Angels uniform.

Funny enough, the Angels and Braves are set to square off in a three-game series, which might be the reason this mock trade is surfacing at this time.
Per Mark Powell, this trade package could get a deal done between the Angels and Braves for Jo Adell:
“Braves receive: Jo Adell,
Angels receive: RHP Didier Fuentes, RHP Luke Sinnard, OF Conor Essenberg”
The Angels could really use pitching help at this time, and if they aren’t contenders by May/June, the trade speculation around Jo Adell will continue to grow.
As for Fuentes, he had a strong spring training and figures to be a part of the Braves pitching staff at some point this season, but he’s currently in the minors for now.

Who Says No to this Jo Adell Mock Trade?
If this trade were actually proposed, it would be the Angels that would likely say no.
Atlanta would surely welcome a player like Jo Adell, who has 35+ home run upside and another two years of team control.
For the Angels, Adell (along with Zach Neto) is one of the cornerstone pieces to the Angels.
