Breece Hall’s Cryptic Post Fuels Rumors of Trade to Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears could still squeeze in a last-minute deal for a young running back in his prime before the NFL trade deadline arrives at 4 p.m. ET today.

Amid the frenzy of deadline-day trade activity, New York Jets star running back Breece Hall made a series of cryptic posts on his social media accounts, fueling trade rumors after seeing several of his teammates traded with his latest post, which read: “…”

While NFL players sometimes post vague messages on social media that unnecessarily drum up trade speculation, NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that Hall “wants to be traded” away from the Jets before the trade deadline passes on Tuesday afternoon.

“BREAKING: #Jets RB Breece Hall wants to be traded, I’m told,” Schultz wrote Tuesday on X. “A little over one hour until the deadline, but Breece ‘wants to be out.’”

Naturally, Hall’s reported interest in a trade has fueled speculation that the Bears and their once-struggling run game could make a blockbuster deal for the former No. 36 overall pick. The Bears just had rookie Kyle Monangai rip off a 176-yard breakout game for their offense in Week 9, but veteran D’Andre Swift is currently out with an injury.

The clock is ticking for the Bears to make any further moves.
