The Kansas City Chiefs are hitting their stride as they enter Week 7 against the Las Vegas Raiders. After starting the season 0-2 for the first time in the Patrick Mahomes era, Kansas City is 3-3 and getting a major reinforcement on offense.
Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice hasn’t played since Week 4 of last season due to a knee injury. His return got delayed after the NFL slapped him with a six-week suspension stemming from a multi-vehicle car crash in 2024.
When Mahomes takes the field at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday, October 19, he’ll have Rice, Xavier Worthy, and Marquise “Hollywood” Brown all active for the first time. For opposing defenses, this is a problem. Helping cheer on the Chiefs against the Raiders, Mahomes’ mother, Randi Mahomes.
As the three-time Super Bowl MVP establishes himself as the best quarterback in the NFL, Randi is making her own mark. During the offseason, she launched the Sports Parent Academy. Ahead of the Chiefs-Raiders game on Sunday, October 18, she made another exciting announcement.

Randi teamed up with Gameday Couture to launch an assortment of Chiefs womenswear. The announcement caught the attention of Tavia Hunt, Chiefs owner Clark Hunt’s wife. Tavia celebrated the news on her Instagram Stories and wrote, “I’m so here for this! Congrats.”
She also wrote in the comments section of Randi’s post, “Love this!!❤️🔥👏.”
Randi posted of her new collaboration, “This 8-piece collection was created for every game day style and every woman who wants to look chic and feel confident. This collab has been an absolute dream in the making and I’m so happy to share it with ya’ll!❤️💛.”
Mahomes retired from her job as an event planner last summer in order to spend more time with her three kids and three grandchildren, Sterling Skye, 4, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon, 2, and Golden Raye, 9 months.

After Mahomes helped by his mother a new house this offseason, Randi listed their family home in East Tyler, Texas, for $285,000 in April. While the Mahomes celebrated the Texas Tech alum getting drafted as the No. 10 overall pick in that home, it didn’t fly off the market.
She slashed the price to $279,000 in June, Realtor.com reported. A month later, the three-bedroom, two-bathroom house finally sold.
Randi needed a bigger space for her daughter, Mia, 14, and grandchildren. “It’s bittersweet but it’s time for a change and Mia and I are so excited to have a new place to decorate and make a home and now I have a large space for those grand babies,” she told Realtor.com
“There were a lot of tears and laughter and memories in that house but it’s time to let a new family start to build their dream there now!”
