Cowboys All-Pro Gives Very Encouraging Update On Week 3 Injury

The Dallas Cowboys not only got humbled by the Chicago Bears in week 3, losing 31-14 as the team threw a combined 3 interceptions between quarterback, Dak Prescott and backup, Joe Milton, who came in late in the game when the result was all but sealed, but they suffered an injury to arguably their top offensive talent, CeeDee Lamb.

Lamb got injured on a first quarter snap in which he ran the ball, turning his ankle in what looked to be a sprain.

Ankle sprain’s are tough to diagnose, as they can keep players out anywhere from one week to multiple months.

And whilst fans may have feared the worst after he attempted to come back in the game and run a route, only for him to stumble and voluntarily remove himself from the game, it seems that Lamb himself feels optimistic about his participation on the team going forward.

“CeeDee Lamb (ankle) said he “absolutely” feels like he can play in Week 4.” Aggregator ‘Underdog NFL’ posted after the loss on Sunday.

This was also corroborated by Joseph Hoyt of the Dallas Morning News, who noted that Lamb’s upbeat prognosis with regards to his ability to play in week 4 also lines up with what owner, Jerry Jones, said post-game.

CeeDee Lamb Hoping To Play In Week 4

The Cowboys’ offense very much runs through Lamb – even though both receivers George Pickens and KaVontae Turpin, alongside tight end, Jake Ferguson all stepped up to the plate in the All-Pros’ absence.

Even though all three managed to eclipse 60 receiving yards in week 3, the team still only managed to put up a mere 14 points across the whole game, even though Prescott managed a very reasonable 251 passing yards on the day.

After a display like this one, getting beaten by a three-score margin in a game they went into as narrow -1 favorites, head coach Brian Schottenheimer and co. will need to figure out how they will approach a very challenging Sunday Night Football game against the Green Bay Packers next weekend.

Dallas Cowboys Will Need To Make Substantial Changes On Both Sides Of The Ball Ahead of Week 4

In what could well be termed the ‘Micah Parsons-Trade Bowl’, the Packers will visit Texas next weekend, and after they had their own struggles on the road this past Sunday, losing to the previously winless Cleveland Browns, they will be looking for a bounce-back game.

Having Lamb back will no doubt be vital to the Cowboys’ chances of coming away with a victory, but the team has issues a-plenty on both sides of the ball.

And, perhaps more imminently important, they will need to figure out how to neutralize the threat presented by 3 x All-Pro and former employee, also known as Micah Parsons, who will certainly want to make a statement upon his return to Dallas, just a month on from being traded to the midwest for two first round picks and Kenny Clark.

If they do nothing else this year, Dallas will do all in their power to ensure they are not embarrassed by the former Penn State star on home territory.
