England will play their final friendly before Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup squad is announced as they welcome Japan to Wembley this evening.

Tuchel named an experimental XI last Friday as the Three Lions laboured to a 1-1 draw with Uruguay.

The England boss has welcomed key players back into the fold for Monday’s clash, but will have to rotate his side again after a slew of injury withdrawls.

Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka and Noni Madueke have returned to Arsenal for ‘medical assessments’, while John Stones has also withdrawn and Jude Jude Bellingham remains unable to start.

The situation is hardly ideal for Tuchel, with this match the last fixture before the German names his 26-man squad for the World Cup at the end of May.
