Dier made a vital block to stop Stuttgart from opening the scorelineepa
In the 28th minute, the England defender made a crucial block near the goal line to stop Serhou Guirassy’s goal.
The Guinea goal-scoring menace made the pass inside the penalty box before trying to score but Dier did well to head the ball away.
Dier already injured his head a couple of minutes prior but still used it for the goal line clearance hence why his head was bleeding again.
A minute after Dier’s heroic effort Leonidas Stergiou gave Stuttgart the lead from Deniz Undav’s assist.
Bayern then evened the scoreline in the 37th minute through Harry Kane‘s strike from a spot-kick after Serge Gnabry was brought down inside the penalty box.
The strike against Stuttgart was Kane’s 36th league goal of the season and 44th overall.
The England captain is now just six goals away from breaking Robert Lewandowski‘s record of scoring the most goals in a single Bundesliga season.
But Bayern failed to secure a win as two late goals from Jeong Woo-Yeng and Silas Katompa Mvumpa secured the home side all three points.

Now Stuttgart sit two points behind Bayern with only two games to go in the season.
Meaning Thomas Tuchel‘s side who have already lost their 11-year Bundesliga winning streak to Bayer Leverkusen may end up finishing third this term.
But the German giants’ season is not over yet as they take on Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final clash.
