BURSASPOR have been relegated to the fourth tier of Turkish football after suffering a horror decline.
The fallen club were champions of the top flight in the 2009-2010 season.

Back in the 2010-2011 season Bursaspor were playing in the Champions League
They finished one point above seasoned campaigners Fenerbahce to win the title.
In doing so, they became only the second club outside Istanbul to win a Süper Lig title,
A season later they were competing in the Champions League, where they faced off against Manchester United, Valencia and Rangers.
They were beaten home and away by the Red Devils – 1-0 and 3-0 respectively.
Although they finished bottom of the group, they secured a famous draw at home to the Scottish side.
It was their only point in the competition, meaning they missed on Europa League qualification too.
But in the 2018-2019 season, Bursaspor were surprisingly relegated from the Süper Lig.
Inevitably, the club then suffered financial problems in the 2022-2023 season and were demoted to the third division.
Their demise has continued this season, where they have now found themselves languishing at the foot of the division.
Bursaspor’s fate was sealed after they were thrashed 5-1 by Erokspor.
They also face a ban on registering new players after their financial mismanagement.
Bursaspor boast one of the most famous stadiums in Europe.
The stunning Timsah Arena, can seat up to 43,331 supporters.
The standout feature of the ground – which was opened in 2015 after four years of construction – is undoubtedly its crocodile shape.
The unique design even includes the HEAD of a croc, which serves as a concourse for fans.
The croc head serves as an intimidating sight for opposition fans and players, as well as a homage to the team’s nickname – The Green Crocodiles.
Notable footballers including Hakan Sukur, Tuncay Sanli, Scott Carson, Sebastian Frey, Altay Bayindir, and Balazs Dzsudzsak once wore the famous Bursaspor shirt.
