The New York Giants were defeated by the Kansas City Chiefs by a score of 22-9, and one week after Russell Wilson and the offense put on a show against Dallas, the same unit put together an embarrassing performance in Week 3.
In the latest NYG loss, the defense and rookie running back Cam Skattebo kept Big Blue in the game for a time, but the defending AFC champion Chiefs eventually pulled out of reach as Wilson and the offense sputtered.
Needless to say, the fans at MetLife Stadium quickly became disinterested, as did president and CEO John Mara and general manager Joe Schoen. At one point in the Sunday Night Football broadcast on NBC, the cameras showed a split screen of Mara, Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll, all at once.
This image was then shared by popular Giants podcast “Talkin’ Giants” on X, and it gained a ton of attention among fans.
In the screenshot — which drummed up just under 1,000 likes and over 40,000 views in a little over an hour — Mara, Daboll and Schoen all watch with similarly deadpan faces.
The takeaway? Giants leadership currently has no answers as they fall to 0-3 for the first time in Daboll’s tenure as head coach.
