Harry Kane has urged his Bayern Munich teammates to show ‘full respect’ to Thomas Tuchel following the club’s links with a move for Julian Nagelsmann.
Bayern are looking to replace Tuchel, who is stepping down at the end of the season, and reports in Germany claim that the Bundesliga club are now in talks to bring Nagelsmann back to the Allianz Arena for a second stint.
The 36-year-old guided Bayern to the Bundesliga title in April 2022 before he was sacked by the club whilst on a skiing holiday 11 months later.
Nagelsmann is set to lead Germany’s Euro 2024 campaign but is yet to commit his future to the national side beyond this summer’s tournament.
When asked about Bayern’s link with Nagelsmann, Kane said on Tuesday ahead of his side’s Champions League clash against Arsenal: ‘To be honest I don’t know him too well.
‘I don’t know the whole situation with the coaches at the moment.

‘Obviously I know that Thomas is here until the end of the season and that’s all I’m kind of focused on and the players are focused on.
‘I know the club have a decision and a job to do outside of that, and I’m sure they’re looking at all the candidates, trying to find the best solution to Bayern Munich.

‘But I think from a player’s point of view we have to show full respect to Thomas. We have a big game tomorrow night and also games in the Bundesliga we want to finish well as well.
‘So all our focus and motivation is trying to finish the season strong with him, then I’m sure in the background the club will make the best decision that’s right for Bayern Munich.’
