ARNE SLOT snapped at reporters after being asked about taking over at Liverpool.

The Dutchman is expected to be named as Jurgen Klopp‘s replacement at the end of the season.

He warned that it would be ‘unpleasant’ if they continued

Slot, 45, is set to take charge of his 100th match as Feyenoord manager on Sunday.

However, his pre-match press conference was dominated by talk of his move to Anfield.

He said: “For the 25th time, I really can’t answer it.

“There is nothing official yet and I am sitting here with a Feyenoord emblem on my chest, so the intention is for this press conference to be about Feyenoord, but I think you will try (and ask about Liverpool) anyway.”

The only concession Slot made was that he suggested he has “confidence” over the move.

He added: “I still have the confidence that things will turn out well, but I really can’t give any further answers.”

However, he became tired of the questions and asked for it to stop.

He snapped: “If this continues, this will be an unpleasant press conference.

“I just think it’s appropriate to give all the answers to these questions at the end of the season.

“I’m still busy with Feyenoord here and Liverpool are also still busy with their season.”

When Slot was asked if he should be congratulated on landing the job he admitted that people should wait until after the season.

He said: “You can always congratulate me, but it is most appropriate to do so at the end of the season when it is really official.”

Slot was also asked to confirm reports he had visited England during the week.

“I was in Italy with my daughter, otherwise I wouldn’t have such a nice tan,” he said.

Slot has spent three seasons at Feyenoord, winning the Dutch league last season and they are heading for second place in this campaign.

“We have made incredible progress. When I started here, we received 5.5 million euros (£4.7m) for our striker and we were able to invest just about that amount,” he said.

“Now we are going into the Champions League for the second season in a row and the money is a lot more.”

Arne Slot’s record is WORSE than Erik ten Hag’s

ARNE SLOT is set to be tasked with a near-impossible job – replacing Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.

Should he swap the Eredivisie for the Premier League, Slot will follow in the footsteps of fellow follically-challenged Dutchman Erik ten Hag.

Ten Hag left Ajax to become Manchester United manager in 2022.

But he has suffered a nightmare spell at Old Trafford and appears to be a dead-man walking despite making the FA Cup final.

With Slot seemingly destined for Anfield, fans won’t be able to help but compare his record in Holland with Ten Hag’s.

And Reds supporters won’t like what they see.
