In what will likely become one of the most dowloaded sports podcasts in history, the newest episode of the show that already ranks as the No. 1 sports podcast on the Apple charts â New Heights, hosted by brothers Travis and Jason Kelce â features a special guest who just happens to be both the world’s top pop music star and Travis Kelce’s girlfriend.
Of course, as was revealed in a set of teaser clips released earlier this week, that guest will be Taylor Swift.
Swift Uses Kelce Podcast to Announce New Album
Despite rampant fan speculation that Swift and the younger Kelce brother (that’s Travis, at age 35) would announce their engagement on the podcast, in reality, Swift â as listeners will find out when the full podcast drops Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. Eastern Time â used the podcast as a vehicle to announce the release of her upcoming 12th studio album, to be titled Life of a Showgirl.
Early Wednesday morning, however, the New Heights podcast again teased the upcoming show, releasing a preview including Jason Kelce delivering an over-the-top, throat-busting introduction for Swift, listing most if not all of her recent professional accomplishments â and then some.

For those who cannot see the above video, here is the text of Kelce’s intro, though the written words certainly don’t capture the intensity of the retired Philadelphia Eagles center’s delivery.
“Our guest today is a singer, songwriter, and producer and director from Nashville, Tennessee. That’s bull****. She is from Reading Pennsylvania. She’s the most awarded artist in the history of the American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and iHeart Radio Music Awards. 14 Grammy Awards and is the only artist in the history to win album of the year four times!
“Last December, she wrapped up the Eras Tour, which spanned 149 shows across 51 cities, five continents. It was the most attended tour of all time! I’m still going, hold up. Her last album, The Tortured Poets Department set a record with 1.76 billion streams globally, billion streams within the first week alone.
“And as a fan of that guy on the Chiefs, she has 19 wins, two AFC titles and a Super Bowl. 92 Percenters, are you ready for it? Making her podcasting debut, the most requested guest in the history of shows â Taylor Swift!”
The term “92 Percenters” refers to fans of the New Heights podcast.
Once Jason Kelce had finally wrapped up his WWE-style rant, Swift seemed astounded.
“Oh my God!” she declared. “His soul has left his body.”
Appearance Tips Seriousness of Swift-Kelce Romance
The episode will be available on the New Heights YouTube channel, which will be the only platform on which fans can actually watch Swift, her boyfriend, and possible future brother-in-law interact. An audio-only version will be available for download on most other podcast platforms.
A Swift appearance is most likely what executives at Amazon, through its Wondery podcasting platform, had in mind when it bestowed a contract worth a reported $100 million on the Kelce brothers one year ago.
The podcast album announcement marks a departure for Swift and may give a new indication as to the seriousness if her relationship with Travis Kelce.

“Swift’s star power is such that she doesn’t need anyone else to promote her music,” Business Insider reported. “For years, she has pulled back from traditional media opportunities like magazine covers and late-night TV appearances, instead relying on the self-contained machine of her website and verified social media accounts to communicate news to her fans.”
Now, she is making a point of including Kelce in her tightly controlled promotional network.
