Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld have announced the birth of their baby girl.
The Buffalo Bills‘ star quarterback married Steinfeld, the Hollywood actress, last offseason, and the couple then announced they were expecting. Now, on April 2, the couple announced the birth of their baby girl.
“Our baby girl has arrived!! We’re feeling incredibly grateful and blessed and savouring these early moments. Thank you so much for the love and well wishes,” Steinfeld wrote in her newsletter.
Allen and Steinfeld have been relatively quiet about their pregnancy. Steinfeld, meanwhile, gave birth roughly three months after making her first red carpet appearance while pregnant at the 2026 Golden Globes in January.
As for Allen, the birth of his daughter comes just before the beginning of OTAs, which Bills head coach Joe Brady said he expects his quarterback to attend.
Hailee Steinfeld Was Looking Forward to Being a Mom
Although Steinfeld and Allen were mostly private about their pregnancy, the actress did drop some thoughts in her newsletter.
While being pregnant, Steinfeld admitted she wondered how she would be as a mom, and she and Josh Allen as parents.
“This week, I was sitting on the couch in my family room, and the reality that our little family is about to grow really started to settle in,” Steinfeld wrote in the Feb. 20 installment of her newsletter. “Of course, I have all the to-do lists (which you know I love), and I’ve been busy with research and the general life reorganization that happens when you’re about to have a baby.”
Steinfeld, meanwhile, admitted she was looking forward to being a mom and raising a family alongside the Bills’ superstar quarterback.
“But the most profound and grounding part of getting ready for this baby has been the introspective side of it: the quiet conversations I’m having with myself almost every day,” Steinfeld shared. “Sometimes I find myself asking big, lofty questions (what am I going to be like as a mom?) or having vivid daydreams of what our life is about to look like when the three of us are cuddled up in the nursery together.”
Bills HC Expects Allen at OTAs
Although Allen had offseason surgery, new Bills head coach Joe Brady expects his star quarterback to be at OTAs.
However, Allen was also waiting for the birth of his daughter, Brady said he expected his quarterback there.
“Josh sets the tone with everything that we do,” Brady at the league meetings. … “I’m not sitting in this chair without Josh. We’re in this together, and we gotta hold each other accountable. I know how important that is for him to be, especially Day 1, he’s gonna be sitting in that chair, hoping that everybody else will as well.”
Allen, however, said back in January that the birth of his daughter would become the focus, and then football.
“I don’t know if you can plan too far in advance. So I’m very much looking forward to that with my wife, of becoming a dad. It’s something that I will take with great pride,” said Allen. “We’re going to have to figure things out on the go, just like anything else. But this is the most important thing, all over being my life is being a dad. And I know I love being a football player and I love being a quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, but I’m looking forward to this one.”
With Allen’s daughter being born, the star quarterback could quickly be back at the facility for OTAs.
